Craft Roundtables
Craft Roundtables is an ongoing series of conversations founded by Common Threads Press in 2026, bringing together artists, researchers, writers, makers and cultural practitioners to explore the histories and politics of craft.
Each Roundtable brings together speakers working across different contexts and disciplines, creating opportunities to share research, experiences and practices that are often overlooked within dominant craft and art histories. The conversations are particularly interested in the ways craft intersects with questions of colonialism, migration, gender, labour, activism, identity, inheritance and collective memory.
The Roundtables are informal and generous spaces for discussion, allowing speakers to consider not only finished objects but also the processes, histories and communities that surround them.
