Proceeds benefiting The Navajo Quilt Project. This project provides quilters from the Navajo Nation living on reservations with necessary quilting materials. Quilts in these communities are both a form of artistic expression and a necessary household item in the winter. You can learn about one of the co-organisers of the Navajo Quilt Project in Many Hands Make a Quilt: Susan Hudson’s art powerfully tells the history of indigenous quilting and settler colonialism. The Navajo Quilt Project accepts both material donations of quilting supplies and monetary donations through a small fabric store in Los Angeles.

These prints were commissioned by Common Threads Press, and have been lovingly produced by Kristyna BaczynskiMaisy Summer, & Alicia Rodriguez.

Each one is the artist's individual response to quilting and community.

This project has been funded by the Costume & Textile Association's 'Geoffrey Squire Memorial Bursary' that supports textile research. We are honoured to be the recipients of the 2021 bursary, and extend huge thanks to the Costume & Textile Association for their support. Find out more about their work here
